How do I create an account?
You can use the "sign up" buttons or links to open the form for creating an account. You will be required to enter a valid e-mail address and to choose a password which you will then utilize for accessing your account.
After submitting the form, you will receive an e-mail containing a link for verifying your e-mail and accessing your account. This is mainly to avoid fake registrations. After clicking the link, you will be able to sign in and access your account.

How do I access my account?
You can use the "sign in" buttons or links to open the form for accessing your account. You will be required the e-mail and the password you entered when creating your account. After submitting the form, you will access your account.

I don't receive any e-mail. Why?
There are mainly four motivations for that:

  1. it's still being delivered: usually, we are very fast in sending emails, but sometimes we experience some delay due to high traffic; the maximum delivery time is 15 minutes: if you don't receive the activation email within 15 minutes, consider other options listed below;
  2. it's in the spam folder: sometimes servers do not recognize our e-mail address and they automatically consider it as spam; check the spam folder of your mailbox: if it's not there, consider other options listed below;
  3. you entered the wrong e-mail address: sometimes it happens to people having multiple e-mail addressed; are you checking the right mailbox? If you are sure about it, consider other options listed below;
  4. our server encountered a problem: this is very unlikely to happen, but it might be that our server skips sending some e-mails when it is overloaded with traffic or requests;

I forgot my password. What now?
No worries, it happens to everybody. You can generate a new password by clicking on the link "forgot password". You will be required to enter the e-mail address you registered with. Also, you will have to type the anti-bot verification code. After submitting the form, you will receive an e-mail containing a link for creating your new password. Click on the link, choose and type your new password twice. Then, submit the form and sign in with the new password.

I suspended my account. How can I access again?
When you suspended your account, you received an e-mail containing a link for restoring your account. Search for that e-mail in your mailbox and use the link for reactivating your account.

I deleted my account. How can I recover my data?
Unfortunately, after you delete your account, all your data is removed from our servers in accordance with our Terms and Conditions of Service and with our Privacy Policy.

As an organizer, am I be able to list my Call for Papers for free?
Yes, you can post as many Calls for Papers as you want, for free. You can also decide to activate Paperleap analytics on your Call, which is not mandatory.

Which type of Call for Papers can I publish?
You can publish Calls for Papers for events, such as conferences and workshops, or publications, such as books or journals. Keep in mind that our audience consists in the academic community, with a primary focus on researchers. We kindly ask you to be consistent.

Why the academic world, only?
Because our work is primarily dedicated to supporting researchers in improving their research by sharing their findings on high-quality scientific publications or conferences.

How can I create a CFP?
Simply click on the "Post new Call for Papers" button and fill in the form. You will be guided in the process of creating the Call for Papers.

Can I add a CfP even if I am not the organizer?
Yes, you can add a Call for Papers which you are not organizing. In this case, we especially suggest you to invite the organizer to join as an administrator.

Do I need to pay to create a CfP?
No. You can post and publish as many Calls for Papers as you want, for free. You can decide to activate Paperleap analytics on your Call, which is not mandatory.

What's the difference between standard and analytics?
Paperleap standard has a basic set of features for managing Calls for Papers. In addition, Paperleap analytics adds much more functionalities for professional organizers. Check out our features and pricing page.

What's the difference between topics and sectors?
Sectors are broad and general subjects and areas of interest, whereas topics are specific items which might be relevant to a smaller community within the sector.

Can I be an organizer and a follower at the same time?
Yes, and this is done automatically. Whenever you join a Call for Papers as an administrator, you are simultaneously added to the followers.

Why some topics are not visualized in the CfP page, even if I see them on the edit page?
Because we need to approve them before they can be visualized by all our users.

Why e-mails are not displayed?
We wipe e-mail addresses out of the text of the Call to protect the privacy of our users and to avoid their e-mail address to be utilized by third-party for spamming.

What's the difference between topics and search keywords?
Topics are subjects that are defined when creating the Call for Papers to match the research interests of invited authors. Keywords are single words that can be used to better refine search (e.g., IEEE).

Why the follow button is not displayed on some calls?
Because they are already over: we prevent from following Calls for Papers which have expired to avoid overloading people with messages.

Why the invite button is not displayed on some calls?
Because they are already over: we prevent from inviting to Calls for Papers which have expired to avoid overloading people with messages.

How many CFP can I follow?
You can follow as many calls for papers as you want. There is no limit in the number of Calls for Papers you can create and follow.

Why do I need to sign in to follow?
This is because we do not keep any information about visitors who are not signed in. Accessing your account is the only way for us to associate you with your preferences.

How much does Paperleap analytics cost?
You can activate Paperleap analytics on a Call for Papers for the price of 25 USD/EUR. This is a one-time fee: Paperleap analytics will be active on your Call for Papers for life.

Do I need to renew my Paperleap analytics subscription?
No: after you activate Paperleap analytics on a Call for Papers, it will be active for life. You will not be charged of any additional fees and costs.
